How it works
There's a free room and there are paid rooms. Each price ($1, $5, $10, and up) is its own room. Whoever pays a price first gets to name that room. Everyone who pays the same price after that just joins it. Paying is a one-time thing that gets you in.
Paying
You're paying us for access to a room, plus the naming rights if you got there first. You're not buying the room itself or the name, and none of your money goes to other users.
Payments run through Stripe. Fees are not refundable. We'd love for every room to last forever, but we can't promise the site sticks around that long, and if we ever shut something down we won't be refunding old payments.
Keep it decent
Don't use Tollchat for anything illegal, anything involving minors, harassment, threats, hate, spam, scams, hacking, or posting other people's stuff you don't have the rights to. Same goes for room names.
If something goes too far, we can edit or pull a name or message and we can close accounts. When that happens because someone broke a rule, there's no refund. We try to be reasonable about it, but the call is ours.
Your stuff
What you post is yours. You're just giving us permission to store it and show it so the site can do its job.
Caveats
Tollchat is offered as is. We do our best to keep it running well, but we can't guarantee it's always up, always perfect, or permanent, and we're not on the hook for indirect losses. Use it in good faith and don't stake anything important on it.
Your account
Delete it whenever you like. We can close accounts that break these terms.
